The fee to change or
cancel your reservation will be $7 beginning November 1, 2007.
Plan ahead
You may make
reservations up to 9 months in advance of your planned arrival date.
Individual sites are open for reservations between May 15
and September 15. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served
basis the rest of the year.

Call 1-888-CAMPOUT. The sooner we know, the better we can serve you, and
it may cost you less money.
Fees for date changes:

More than seven days before you’re scheduled to arrive, you’ll pay a
$7 fee.

Seven days or fewer before you’re scheduled to arrive, the fee is
one night’s stay.

At the park, you won’t pay a fee for extending your departure date
if we have space available.
Site not quite right? If you change sites less than seven days before
you’re scheduled to arrive you’ll pay a $7 fee. At the park, choose
another available site for free.

reservations, you may cancel them
online.
Cancellation fees:
Planning ahead is good, but we can’t cancel sites more than eight months
ahead of your scheduled arrival date.
You must reserve and pay for two consecutive nights on Memorial Day,
Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends.
If we don’t see or hear from you by 1
p.m. the day after you’re scheduled to arrive, we will consider you a
no-show and will charge up to three nights’ camping fees.
Reservation fees
We charge an administration fee in addition to your campsite costs:
Bringing more than one vehicle?
One vehicle is included in the camping fee. Additional or unattended
vehicles, unless towed, cost $10 each per night.
Eight is enough
We allow up to eight people to occupy each campsite.
Day use and boat launching
To confirm specific campsites, you must pay in full when you make your
reservations. Your payment options:

Check
or money order – You must reserve at least 21 days before your
arrival date, and we must receive your payment no more than seven
days after you reserve the site.

Credit or check card – It’s the fastest way to confirm your site.
We offer $5 per night discounts to people
who:

Are
62 years old or more
-
Have
a disability parking placard
-
Have
a Washington State Parks disability or disabled veteran pass
-
You
must occupy the campsite and show proof of eligibility to receive
the discount.
If you paid with a:

Credit card, we will ask for your card number to credit the same account.

Check
or money order, we will mail you a check from the City of Tacoma.
Campground check-in begins at 2:30 p.m. Check out is at 1 p.m.
Day-use
visitors may use the boat launch and picnic areas between 8 a.m. and
dusk.
Parks are
closed between December 20 and January 1.
Please
register at the park when you arrive to secure your site, pay extra
vehicle fees or confirm discounts.
Bring
your confirmation letter to speed up the registration process.
If we’ve
closed the gate for the day, please open the gate and then close it
after you have entered the park. You may register the next morning.
