More About Tacoma Power's EverGreen Options
EverGreen Options is a voluntary pilot green power retail program
for residential and business customers. Customers can show their commitment to the
environment by paying a bit more on their electricity bill to support and encourage Tacoma
Power's purchase of environmentally-preferred resources.
Residential customers can choose to participate at $3, $6 or $10 per month. Additional
participation levels are available for business customers.

To support these offerings, Tacoma Power is buying green power from the Bonneville
Power Administration. The green power is marketed by the
Bonneville Environmental Foundation,
which was established in September 1998, to provide the Pacific Northwest with a new tool
for realizing its environmental goals in the two critical areas of renewable resource
development, and watershed restoration.
BEFs power is approved as green power by several environmental groups
including the Northwest Energy Coalition, the Natural Resources Defense Council
and the Renewable Northwest Project.
