Welcome
to our rebate program for super-efficient refrigerators and freezers
- Cool Rebates from Tacoma
Power. To encourage the purchase of the most
energy-efficient commercial solid-door refrigerators and freezers we
are providing rebates for qualified SuperSaver commercial
solid-door refrigerators and freezers.
Program expanding. We're glad to announce we're
expanding the program. As of August 2004, we're partnering
with Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy, and Snohomish PUD,
and are now offering offer this rebate program throughout our
service territories - much of Western Washington.
To qualify for rebates, units must be SuperSaver
qualified and be installed in the four-utility service territory.
To view a brochure and program application form, click
here (pdf format). Important
program update: Because ENERGY STAR refrigerators and freezers
are required by the Washington State code as of 2007, they are no
longer eligible for rebates.
Specifications for energy-efficient refrigerators and freezers
have been established through EPA's ENERGY STAR program.
Specifications for the highest efficiency refrigerators and freezers
- Tier 2 - have been established by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency - CEE.
We're marketing these
CEE Tier 2 units as
SuperSaver machines.
