The customer completes the application. The customer completes
the
Application for New Electrical Service Hookups
and submits it to the New Services Engineering office along with the
following documents.

Plant maps and engineering
plans for all utilities
-
Road way designs
-
Plans on an AutoCad disc
-
Voltage and electrical load
requirements
-
Joint trench participants
2.
Tacoma Power's New Services Engineering group prepares the
following. Response time is approximately two weeks.

Reviews
plans and makes a site visit.
-
Prepares the design and
Letter of Agreement, and
calculates the project cost and engineering deposit.
3.
The deposit is paid by the customer.
4. Engineering completes the following:
-
The detailed electrical design and plans.
-
The preliminary construction drawing is sent to the customer, public
agencies, and other utilities.
5.
The customer provides full payment.
Payment must be paid in full before the construction drawing is
completed and released for construction.
The customer must submit any revised plans prior to Engineering's
release of the construction drawing.
