Tacoma Power Electrical
Inspection has an Interactive Voice Messaging System. We would
encourage our customers to take advantage of this tool to set up an
inspection or to call for results of an electrical inspection.
You
can use this system for:

option to choose to obtain the information which you are inquiring
and can also request to talk to a U.S.R. or leave a message for an
inspector.
Steps

Have
your permit number or address of inspection ready

Call
253-502-8277.

Enter the permit
number or address when requested by the recording.

To Schedule an
inspection you will be prompted through your request for either
a residential or commercial installation.
For residential
inspections you will be asked to press a three digit code:
#1 for Ufer
#010 for Ditch
#020 for Rough-in
#030 for Backfill
#170 for Service
#110 for Final
0# for Utility Service Representative, and when prompted, 0#
again
For a commercial
you will be asked to press a three digit code:
#1 for Ufer
#010 for Ditch
#080 for Slab
#040 for Wall Cover
#060 for Service
#050 for Ceiling
#110 for Final
0#for Utility Service Representative, and
when prompted, 0# again
To obtain the results of an inspection you will be prompted to
press #3. Listen to the entire message and the message will give
you the results of the inspection performed.
The Electrical Inspection Department encourages the use of the
IVR system to expedite your inspection request and answer your
need for information.
